Squeak-Free Subfloor

Acoustic comfort is one of the most underestimated factors in residential wellness. Noise, even low-level repetitive noise like a squeaking floor, disrupts sleep cycles, elevates cortisol levels, and reduces the restorative quality of time spent at home. You may not consciously register it, but your body does. Every Loudermilk subfloor uses Advantech engineered panels glued with construction adhesive and screwed at 6-inch intervals, with flatness verified to within 3/16 of an inch over 10 feet before any finished flooring is installed. Squeaky floors are a contractor shortcut that happens when the subfloor installation is rushed or improperly fastened. We do not take that shortcut. The goal is a home that is silent underfoot on every level from the first day you move in.
